COVID-19 and Robinson Elmwood

Building Precautions

We hold the health and well-being of our congregation and those who use the building in the highest regard. To that end, we have implemented precautions based on recommended best practices designed to slow the spread of COVID-19. 

Due to COVID-19, all visitors to our building must:
  • Wear a mask (COVID-19 is spread through droplets from the breath. Masks reduce the number of droplets in the air)
  • Sign in & out (to help with contact tracing should someone develop COVID-19; we wipe down pens with alcohol-based sanitizer between uses)
  • Have their temperature taken (if your temperature is greater than 100 F, you will not be allowed in the building)
  • Use hand sanitizer or wash your hands (we have provided touch-free hand sanitizers throughout the building)
  • Maintain proper physical distance whenever possible (six feet or more)
We ask that everyone use the main entrance between the two major structures. That is where our visitor log book is located. 

Please call ahead before visiting the office to make sure we don't have too many people in one place! 

Worship & Covid-19


Our Sanctuary is now open to in-person worship. Our pews are marked to keep 6 feet between family units. All visitors are required to abide by the building precautions seen to the left as well as:
  • Wear a mask through the entire service
  • Refrain from singing along to the music (humming is okay)
  • Try to keep at least 6 feet from people not in your household at all times. 
​You can make offerings by placing them in the offering plates as you enter. Plates are marked "Robinson Elmwood United Church" and "FCC UCC" so you know your contribution will go to the correct place.

Online Worship

We will continue to stream our services at 10AM on YouTube. Click Here to visit our YouTube Channel (West Syracuse Suburbs Worship). If you subscribe to the page and choose "all notifications," you will be notified when we go live and when we upload other videos. You can also click the "watch live" link at the top of the page.

Mask Mission

We provide hand-made cloth face masks free of charge to anyone in our community.

Simply give us a call at 468-2509. We'll take your name, the number of masks you need (adult men, adult women, boys, girls) and your address for delivery. Within a few days, one of our volunteers will visit you or mail you your masks.

​There is no charge, but donations are always accepted.
